Welcome to Bluetooth Hearing Protection!

My name is Dustin and I am the guy who created this website. I work for a monument company and spend most days working in the shop where we manufacture the stones. This means I’m operating a sandblasting machine and always need to wear hearing protection.

The worst part about this is the fact that simply wearing earplugs gets super boring because there’s nothing to listen to while you’re staring at a sandblasting machine for hours on end. Finally, I decided to use some earmuffs I discovered in a seldom used corner of the shop. I started to wear these with earbuds underneath. I would plug the earbuds into my phone and run the cord through the inside of my shirt.

This worked alright, but still meant I had to have a cord running from my ears to my pocket. If the cord was too short, it wouldn’t work…if the cord was too long it would stick out and get caught on things in the shop and rip the earbuds out of my ear.

Finally, one day, while I was sitting there listening to some music and waiting for the stone to finish sandblasting I starting thinking about how having ear muffs that were Bluetooth enabled, would make this whole situation a lot simpler, safer, and more convenient.

I started to do some research and, lo-and-behold, these things exist! As they say: “The rest is history!”.
